Welcome To Lake Ellen Camp

Lake Ellen Camp sits on 378 beautiful acres and provides creative programming year-round for all ages. There is plenty of room to roam, explore, fish, boat and swim. We have some of the finest groomed cross-country ski trails for our winter enthusiasts.

Lake Ellen Camp is independently owned and been operating since 1958. It is our goal to provide a Christ-centered; Bible based camping experience for young people to adults from all church backgrounds. Our Guests find Lake Ellen Camp to be an aesthetically pleasing haven, a much-needed respite in a fast-moving world.

We are located 35 miles north of Iron Mountain, Michigan and easy to find in the Northwoods of the Upper Peninsula. Our friendly staff is here to assist you with your needs. Feel free to contact us anytime.

Hey there Lake Ellen Campers!

My name is Becky Preston, I am a counselor/lifeguard this summer at Lake Ellen. I can’t wait to meet each one of you this summer. I was raised overseas, so this is my first camp experience. I have been camping many times, but I wish I could have had a chance to experience camp the way you get to. I have lived on three different continents and I love telling stories from that part of my life. I love working with kids, and I look forward to doing so this summer. I am praying that God will give me wisdom in all that I do this summer. I am also asking God that every person who comes to Lake Ellen will have a wonderful summer.

God Bless
Becky Preston

Hey Ya’ll!

My name is Jacqui Boogaard. I am a counselor and lifeguard this summer. I am currently a sophomore at Northern Michigan University studying anthropology and forensic science. I love to watch the Red Wings and play hockey with my brothers. My favorite bible verse is Proverbs 16:31.

I wanted to come to Lake Ellen because you can tell that God is here! He is spreading his love all around. This camp is filled with people who are in love with God and want to share that love.

I am so pumped for all the campers to come! It’s so quiet without any of them here. I am looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you more! See Ya’ll soon!!

Camper Scholarship Funds are needed. Each year we receive many requests for camper scholarships. We would like to assist these families who make requests as well as under write 100 needy kids so they too can go to camp. If you, your church, or your youth group would be interested in sponsoring a camper click here.

Each Month Lake Ellen posts a
Prayer Calendar with our prayer needs for that month. Also in the top right hand corner is a name of a camper who trusted Christ as Savior this past summer. I'm sure they would appreciate your prayers.
